Belize at 43 National Celebrations is Here!

The Belize National Celebrations kick off with the Eve of Emancipation Day Ceremony before commemorating Emancipation Day on August 1 with an official ceremony and the Eboe Town Festival. As August rolls in, the excitement of Belize National Celebrations ramps up with a series of pageants, competitions, and concerts.

Don’t miss the highly-anticipated Miss Carnival Pageant and the National Queen of the Bay Pageant. Music lovers will enjoy the Sir Barry Bowen Belikin Bash, while the Carnival King & Queen Competition adds colour and energy ending August with a bang!

September Celebrations

September 1 marks National Flag Day with Flag Raising Ceremonies across the country, as the vibrant red, blue, and white flag is hoisted on the major monuments in each municipality. It signals the beginning of a month packed with events for the final countdown to Independence Day!

From the high-energy Carnival Road March and the historic St. George’s Caye Day, highlighting the coronation of the National Queen of the Bay, and the rhythmic Pan Yaad, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in every nook of the country. Visitors and locals travel to the various districts to experience unique activities, such as talent shows, marathons, and business expos as they celebrate in Belize.
